The Challenge:
Take a picture of something in action, you can freeze the action, or purposely blur it to show movement.
I am not sure if I did this right I kept messing with the shutter speed while my son was running around being a ninja, but I never really got a blur effect from the motion? I think I need some more practice.
Here were the tips from Beth and Lolli’s blog:
* The longer the shutter stays open, the more light that comes into the camera, and the more likely you will be to get blurred motion.
* The shorter the shutter stays open, the less light that comes into the camera, and the more likely you will be to freeze the action in your shot.
* Use a fast shutter speed to stop action, or for fast-moving subjects.
* Use a slow shutter speed to let in more light (in lower light situations), for stationary subjects, or to show motion.
I took these photos with my Sony Cybershot DSC-H20
You may not have gotten blur from the action, but you did a great job freezing action! If you would have slowed down the shutter speed a little more, you would have gotten the blur effect.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
ReplyDeleteblur or no blur, that is one cute ninja!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Manic Mother, great freeze of the action! That last pic cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteYes, great stop-action! My best guess as to why you couldn't get blurred motion was that you were using the flash. Try it with the flash off and I bet you'll get some fun blur!
ReplyDeleteGreat freezing! I forgot to take some pics on this one. Supposed to rain again maybe I can get some good raindrop pics!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are hysterical! I love his expressions.
