Kind of Wordless Wednesday

Yesterday I made a scrumptious Roast. It was one of Paula Deen's recipe's and boy was it good. Just thought I would share a photo.

Weekend Wrap Up

Well this past weekend was rather quiet. A lot of outdoor yard work and race watching for hubby, my son played a lot outside with his friends, and I did some grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning and napping.

Hubby raking leaves. What you don't see a rake? Look real close and you can see it ----- just kidding there is no rake. He did not feel like doing all the hard work of raking and picking up so he got out the trusty lawn mower and mowed our dead grass picking up the leaves as he goes. hehehe

Here is Bub enjoying the outdoors. It was really nice this weekend, not too hot and not too cold. During the day anyways. At night we were freezing our tails off.

This is Bub on our way to church, he has a whole Oatmeal Pie crammed in his mouth. The Breakfast of champions indeed. I know your all thinking what kind of Mom feeds her child a Oatmeal Pie and then sends him off for the Sunday school teacher to deal with hyped up on all that sugar, but he had eaten some pancakes and was being difficult getting dressed and when he asked me for it I was just trying to get him out the door and into the car so we were not late.. I caved like always..ughh

This was our first Sunday back in a long time. I had a lot of anxiety after my son was born that made it hard to be around a lot of people at one time and it has only been in the last couple years that I don't break out in a full sweat and start panicking when I am in those sort of situations. I am glad we finally went back, Bub had a blast and we went to the Contemporary service which was a lot of fun. I also enjoyed our Sunday school class. We were reading 1 Corinthians 13 1-13 about Love and in my Bible, (NLT Touch Point Bible), it has these little writings on the pages that help you better understand certain scripture and since I have a hard time with the thees, thous, and those I love my bible because my brain can process it. Anywho in this little helpful hint it tells you a good way to check your understanding of love is to substitute your own name for the word love and re read the chapter. Atleast for 1 Corinthians 13 4-8, the rest it sounds funny with my name in it:}

And of course I must end my blog with a gorgeous picture of Ginger:)

Birthday wish to my nephew Joey

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOEY:)

Happy Birthday means much more
Than have a happy day.
Within these words lie lots of things I never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me, And that
I'm proud of you.
But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of you on this very special day,
Happy Birthday.

Don't be a litterbug

Yesterday me and my son went for a walk to the pond at the front of our community to see the ducks and we were appalled at all the trash we saw on the way and around the pond, so today when he got in the car after school he asked if we could go down there with plastic bags and clean it up. They are learning about how to keep the environment clean at school and he is taking it to heart and I am truly greatful he is. I have always taught him not to throw things on the ground, because animals will try to eat it and they can not digest it therefore they will die. He is a animal lover like myself so he does not litter and has at times gotten on to adults and other children for doing it. So down we went to the pond and picked up along our walk and around the pond. When we did all we could do for today we had filled up an entire big Tarjay bag full of trash and we had not even gotten to the other side of the pond yet -- ughhh. I don't know why people think it is o.k. to throw stuff out there windows or leave their empty cans and bottles at the pond. It really gets on my nerves, can ya tell.. We even found shirts and gloves in the pond. Here are a few pics. The first two are the before and after on one side of the pond.

These are of the happy ducks being fed and more clean up.

And lastly the big Tarjay bag full of gross yucky trash.
So I wish to challenge my blogging buddies to go out and clean up your community. To my friends who are in two feet of snow or more I won't hold ya to it til spring;) To my friend Suzanne I did the front of the neighborhood, so I will be at your house with a garbage bag ready to help you with the back tomorrow. Bawahahahahaha:)

I think I am going to propose to our homeowners association that we need one of these around every corner and in front of the pond.

Happy Valentines Day to all:)

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day.. I am with my sis-n-law over at Blessings Amid Chaos, it is not really a big deal for me and I would rather be surprised with flowers, candy and dinner on any random day, not when hubby feels obligated to do it. Brad did bring me home a really pretty candle that has a yummy strawberry sent. I gave my son a chocolate shaped Bass and hubby got chocolate shaped playing cards since he likes to play black jack or any card game for that matter.

Here is just a random picture of Ginger, she is so photogenic... Also yesterday at my sons school they had jump rope for heart and our family raised $85.00 to go to the American Heart Association. I volunteered and although it was hot it was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast with all of the activities. This is a picture of my son during the sack race.

I am ready to get off the boat

Well I just wanted to update you. I have fluid in both ears and it is causing vertigo. So basically I feel like I am on a boat while sitting still:(

We are home

Well we made it back last night and I am not feeling so hot today. My equalibrium is totally off and I feel like I am on a boat rocking back and forth:( The island was beautiful and we had a great time despite the fact it was 67 degrees and windy the first 3 days. The temps went up and the wind died down the last two days so that it was nice enough to walk out to the beach. I never had to don a bathing suit the entire trip, because even though it warmed up the water was still to cold for this floridian and eventually you would have to get out and feel the cool breeze ..brrrr:) I will post pics later when the screen does not look like it is moving....

Heels, Deals and anxiety

Well I found some heels yesterday for our big trip -- easy spirits, so hopefully I will be comfy. I never wear heels unless they are attached to boots. I have a love hate relationship with them. I love the way they look, but hate them after 30 minutes of having them on . My hair stylist told me to go with a wedge, since she stands on her feet all day I decided that was the way to go.

I found a great deal at the coach outlet on a cute little evening wristlet for the formal dinner we have to attend.. a $98.00 purse for 20 bucks, I was a happy camper:)

Now for the anxiety, I have a tendancy to get very anxious before trips. I am not scared of flying, just traveling in general makes me nervous. I always worry about the packing and hoping we get there safely and if Bub and Ginger will be o.k. while we are gone.. Just all the loose ends you have to do before you leave makes me insane.. I also have a mild case of hyperhidrosis and right now it is acting up since I am anxious and it is driving me crazy.

I just wish I could have this care free attitude, makes you just want to crawl up beside her and go to sleep without a care in the world... So pray for me guys, that we will make it thru this week anxiety free and safely there and back.
