YSL Volume Effect Faux CILS Mascara

 

I received the YSL Volume Effect Faux CILS Mascara from Influenster to review.

On the website it says it is a false lash effect mascara and this is the new remastered formula.

Here is what it claims:

The most emblematic "false lash effect" volume mascara, now with an all new Lash Care formula. Its secret is the Triple-Intensity Formula: intense volume, intense color and now intense care. The nylon fiber brush coats each lash in deep color and maximum volume from root to tip, while B5 Pro-Vitamin strengthens and protects lashes.

The brush remind me of Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes and I think they perform very similar as well.

Tarte is my favorite of all my mascara’s I have like four backups so that says a lot already.

The YSL mascara gave really nice volume and length without making your lashes look clumpy. I hate clumpy mascara. Not sure I look like I have on false lashes but they look pretty dang good.

I think it held up great after 6 hours. I was outside in the heat/humidity for a couple hours and I had no smudging, no transferring to my upper lid and no flaking at all.

And still the mascara stayed put!!!

Excuse the hideousness of the last pic. Being out in 80 degree heat for a couple hours and then washing our Labrador does not look good on me LOL!

I give it 5 stars on my first impression. I will report back if that changes.

Reunion

This past weekend we had our annual family reunion for my husbands side of the family.

It is always a great time with lots of family, food and games. Oh and fishing which is what Bub did all day long when he wasn’t eating.

I made two new to me recipes for the reunion and they both turned out to be Pinterest wins.

BLT Macaroni Salad

The only thing I would change is when I make a double batch again I will split the two portions of macaroni into separate bowls then add the ingredients to each to stir. Makes it easier to gauge if I need to add more mayo, sour cream or seasoning.

Strawberry Refrigerator Cake

This turned out perfect I would not change anything. It was a hit.

March Ipsy Glam Bag

This months theme is Floral Fantasy.

The bag is super cute and perfect for spring.

My first product is a product from Pur-lisse called Pur-delicate . It is a gentle soy milk cleanser and makeup remover. I have only used this once but it did get all my make up off even my mascara. The scent was kind of citrusy like lime pie filling. A full size retails for $36.00

My second item is Dr. Brandt pores no more anti aging mattifying lotion. I have not used this yet so I will have to report back. Full size retails for $60.00

My third item is Boo Boo cover up. I really like this concealer. It feels nice on the skin and blends easily. I think the coverage is pretty great and it has ingredients to promote healing so it’s perfect for acne spots. Full size retails for $20.00

Fourth item is a highlighter by Vintage. It is a very nice frosty pink highlight. I have only worn it once but I thought it was very pretty. A full size retails for $26.00

Last item is a Nyx butter lipstick in the color hunk. I already own a couple of the butter lipsticks and I really like them. I was so glad they sent me one I did not have and I really like this color. It looks intimidating in the tube but is just a nice wash of magenta. Retails for $6.00
