Tidbit Tuesday

Yesterday I made this yummy skinny pool side dip

You can get the recipe HERE. I halved the recipe and used homemade ranch seasoning instead.

It is soo yummy with crackers….

But then I thought wouldn’t this be great in a wrap.

So I got out a tortilla & added some of the dip

Put on some avocado

Then finished it with Cajun chicken lunchmeat (Any lunch meat or left over meat would be great to)

Rolled it up and voila a nice cool lunch for the summer heat and I bet it would be great pool side as well .

Yesterday was the Hubs Birthday

We celebrated by going out to eat followed by presents and cake

It was also Matt’s Gotcha day

This was Matt one year ago when he popped up at our house during a storm plopped himself right down in our garage and never left.

Here he is now living it up. Chasing lizards, relaxing with Mommy and enjoying his igloo that he absolutely loves. Seriously you can not get him out of that thing before noon. He is a late sleeper Zzzzzzzz.

He got a new chew toy that I am sure will be gone before this weekend.

It was a fun day of celebrating.

Today I am learning all things Nikon since I have not been using my new camera I got for Christmas very much.

I actually broke out the DVD’s that came with it and watched them. Is that not sad they were still in the packaging.

I am going to make myself use this more this summer.

Tidbit Tuesday-Amdro & Bzz Agent

I talked about awaiting a shipment from BzzAngent a couple weeks ago to test the Amdro Powerflex Pest and Weed System for free to get rid of these:

It arrived last week...YAY

I think it is safe to say it is working. They are shriveling up and turning brown.

I will fill you in with another update and we will also be testing out the indoor pest cartridge this weekend, but that is a little harder to tell since we don’t have a whole lot of bugs in the house.

Overwhelmed

Tonight is my sons Jr. High Orientation.

He is already in some Jr High courses through virtual classes and  we need to try to plan his schedule since he has already completed some of the courses he should be taking next year.

So yesterday I was asked the question by the counselor, “What track are you planning for your child in high school? Are you going to be planning for AP, IB or just some advanced courses”. I swear you could probably hear crickets

I was like Um, Well, Um, I Don’t Know.

He is not even out of Elementary school. He is not even a teenager. Although his hormones have already started to rear their ugly head I have no clue what he will be like in 3 years or if he will even want to be in advanced anything.  He will probably be thinking about girls, what he is going to be doing this weekend, or how he is going to pull a fast one past Mom and Dad.

Ughhh…Decisions, Decisions. Anyone else feel like their kids are pushed to grow up to fast?  I don’t remember having to make all these big choices when I was going into Jr. High.

Parenting…Most difficult job you will ever have.

I f you are ever in Gatlinburg, TN take a ride thru the Arts and Crafts community and stop by Honey Bee’s.

We were there this past October and it is such a neat little store tucked away in a little shopping center.

They have really good honey, jams and jellies.

We also bought these while we were there, but I can’t find it on there website anymore.  Which makes me sad cause the shrimp sauce is awesome.

They have a online store if you are not traveling there way anytime soon. Pop over there.  Very sweet people with great products.

Tuesday Tidbits

Guess what this week is get organized week & since me and the hubs organized our garage this past weekend we are ahead of the game .  The laziness has set in though so no organizing today.

But today my friends is National Frappe Day and you know what that means…Starbucks Run.

In all seriousness though

This month is adopt a shelter dog month.  So if you are in the market for a new pet please consider a shelter first.
