Just In Case You Were Wondering

For real though sorry about the 10 day unplanned hiatus from the blog.

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and since the first two sets of injections were a total fail we are back to the drawing board. He wants me to try epidurals instead and went over what type of surgery I would have if they did not. I was not expecting the surgery I would need to be so intense. Like 3-5inch incision intense!!!

It was a major downer and of course I went home and googled like a mad women to find other things I can be doing besides what I am already doing to avoid any and all possibility of surgery.

I have been trying to do lots of PT exercises at home and just de-stressing. That is one of the biggest things all the doctors have said to me is I need to find a way to not have a lot of stress in my life since it causes inflammation in your body and I have plenty to go around.  I am a worry wart and I have a teenager soooo I don’t know how this is gonna go down but I will give it the old college try. Who made up that term anyway??

In the mean time all prayers and positive vibes that this new procedure works are welcome.

Un-Christmasing the house & UnBRAKEable

Yesterday started off with taking down all of the Christmas

Matilda was not thrilled.

She loves her Christmas Tree’s.

&

The tree looks so sad without its ornaments.

I am glad I saved that influenster box cause all my snowflake tree décor fit in it. Woot Woot!! It’s the little things.

Doesn’t that one snowman look sad though.

Bub was less then thrilled to take down his village. He is like me and would rather just leave it up all year.

Well that’s a wrap. All labeled and put away.

My house looks so sad now!!!

Then I quick took a shower and headed out for the night to see a new duo group called UnBRAKEable.

Blake and Brian are married and they are such a sweet couple with amazing talent.

They are traveling the US right now doing their home invasion tour which is held in fan’s homes or in small venues. It was so nice to actually not be in a crowd of people at a concert and to really get to know the artists.

&

Can we just take a moment to talk about Blake’s shoes. I mean they are so cool right!!

Christmas Eve Morning

I woke up at 6 this morning because my husbands alarm went off and I could not go back to sleep. story of my life

So at 8 I decided what better way to spend my time then to make some peanut butter balls

One may have been eaten as my breakfast ;)

Then it was time to address the elephant grey hair in the room!!

I went to my favorite stylist the other day to get my hair cut but had to resist the urge to have her color my hair since I was sent the new Vidal Sassoon Stylist kit to test out for free from bzz agent.

Staring at my grey poking thru as she was styling my hair was almost to much for me! I just wanted them covered up. 

I mean I could pass as Mrs. Claus with these roots :/ 

Not that there is anything wrong with Mrs. Claus. I am sure she is a lovely lady ;)

These bad boys needed to go and today was the day!

I always keep makeup wipes handy and apply some Alba un-petroleum to my hair line so I don't end up with a lovely ring of hair color from any oops I might make!! (that tip was compliments of one of Kandee Johnson's videos)

Mixing up the first step was pretty easy peasy. Just mix it up and apply 3/4 of the mixture to all of your roots, clean yourself up and then wait 20 minutes for the second step.

My only issue was they provided one set of gloves (say what!!!). You have to remove the gloves while you wait the 20 minutes then try to get those little gems back on without getting hair color all over you and not to mention they don't really fit that great the second time around.

can you tell waiting is not my strong suit!

I had spare gloves but I decided since I was testing this out I needed to go with only what was in the box.

The next step you just mix in the serum to the rest of the mixture and apply it to the rest of your hair.

Then wait 10 minutes and rinse it out, wash your hair and apply the colour perserve conditioner.

Style and let the festivities begin!!!!

I think it turned out really pretty and frosty approves ;)

Now off to put some chocolate on those peanut butter balls :)

Less Stress Christmas Season

This year I am trying to savor the season a little bit more and not fall into the Holiday Crazy trap & get caught in the hoopla.

Let’s face it I can’t rewind time and have this little cutie back

He is growing like a weed  & I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

So this Christmas season there will be More:

Building trains with Dad

Christmas movie time as a family

Wrapping at leisure while watching Christmas specials.

Baking yummy treats instead of shopping all day every day

Snoozing by the tree

Basking in the sunshine..Since our state is the only one that did not get the memo it is winter

& just spending time feeling blessed for my little family

& maybe getting a updated picture made .
