No 52 Week Challenge this because we were on spring break last week and this week has been a bit of a catch up week so I will double up next week! Smile

Instead here are some pictures of one of our hiking adventures over spring break that ended with Bison out in the water. It was actually pretty cool and they were so cute!!

Living Without Fear

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

I have a hard time with this concept most days. I have always had a bit of anxiety but after my son was born it tripled. I was scared of everything and was worried/fearful something would happen to him. I mean let’s be honest in this batpoop-2024794_1280 world we live in I still am but I handle it a bit better now. I still get anxiety when we are doing something on the fly because I feel unprepared but even if it is something we planned I also get no sleep the night before worrying about everything that can go wrong but instead of just cancelling plans or saying “Ya’ll go I will stay here.” I breathe through it and go cause I don’t want to miss the moments that I know I will cherish forever.

One day in the near future my precious boy (i.e. manchild) will venture out on his own and I won’t get to see him everyday so when there is a chance to spend a day with him soaking up our surroundings and listening to his crazy funny ideas and stories I don’t care how anxious it makes me I don’t hesitate to take the journey.

So this year he wants to do more adventures in the wilderness around our state and maybe even venturing into other states and that is what we are gonna do.

So get out and get some fresh air and have some unforgettable moments!

Wordy Wednesday (Halloween)

I made my son into Pennywise this year and spent pretty much the end of September through the day before Halloween making his costume. I watched a bazillion tutorials and even when I was half way through his makeup the day of which took 5 hoursDisappointed smilestill thought this isn’t gonna turn out how I want it too, but it did and he was a hit in our friends graveyard. We took inspiration from both movies and the book so that is why he has multi colored balloons, more redish hair and his costume is a combo of regular clown meets old harlequin clown.

He looks like a one of my friends animatronics in this picture. LOL

I decided to have a little fun with some of the pictures I took and place him in some composites. Thanks to some guidance from one of my FB photography groups I perfected them and I am pretty proud of myself. LOL

Bub Is Home

Bub went on a mission trip this week

IMG_4084

and it has been rough here at the home front. Not only do I miss him when he is gone but our dog has the worst separation anxiety from him. Crying face

I tried sleeping with him the first night so he wouldn’t pace around at night and this pretty much sums up how much sleep I got. Can we say bed hog!!

IMG_4114

The next few nights he just paced or moved from his bed to Ginger’s old bed to the love seat. Every morning even though he is not allowed on this couch Daddy’s rule not mine he would jump up and pass out cold cause I was finally awake and he felt he could sleep. I just let him cause he was so exhausted from pacing.

Basically:

But Bub called yesterday and wanted to come home a night early. He wasn’t getting good sleep either and they wouldn’t be doing mission work today so I went and got him.

Bub talked 90 to nothing about his week all the way home and captured these really pretty shots while going over a bridge.

When we got home Matt lost his mind. Even Tilda was like thank you Jesus now maybe I can get some good sleep too!! LOL

Bub was so exhausted he quick took a shower and passed out cold.Sleepy smile

Matt was hilarious he kept laying down on the floor next to him then getting up and giving him drive by kisses while he was sleeping.

I didn’t get any pictures this morning but that dog slept like a baby last night and so did Bub…and so did we. Winking smile

Happy Friday!!

I Am Over This Month

This week has been a lot of waiting with lots of coffee drinking.

My Dad had knee surgery Monday which went very well and he is home now and moving around quite well.

My Father-n-law had heart surgery Tuesday which the doctors said went great but his recovery has been a little trying. Hopefully today is the day he feels a lot better. So please pray for him.

And then this one ↓

My son not the dog has some sort of stomach pain issue that neither me or the doctors can figure out.

My Mom, Brother and myself all have gastrointestinal disorders (fun stuff) so the doctor is trying to figure out if it is something like that or if he ate something that is causing it. So anyway I have been going between home, the hospital and the doctor's office most of the week.

I know it's not the months fault or anything but I think January 2016 is just not my month and I am ready to see it's little booty go!!!

Happy Valentines Day to all:)

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day.. I am with my sis-n-law over at Blessings Amid Chaos, it is not really a big deal for me and I would rather be surprised with flowers, candy and dinner on any random day, not when hubby feels obligated to do it. Brad did bring me home a really pretty candle that has a yummy strawberry sent. I gave my son a chocolate shaped Bass and hubby got chocolate shaped playing cards since he likes to play black jack or any card game for that matter.

Here is just a random picture of Ginger, she is so photogenic... Also yesterday at my sons school they had jump rope for heart and our family raised $85.00 to go to the American Heart Association. I volunteered and although it was hot it was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast with all of the activities. This is a picture of my son during the sack race.

Thursday wrap up

Well this has been a very busy week. Lots of volunteering at the school and running around to prepare for our trip to the bahamas. On top of that hubby has had a pretty stressful week at work so I am ready for next week so he can relax.

The other day I went and got my hair did:

I think I figured out why this is my arch nemesis

because of this, (I think this is Ginger's weakness as well, she stood next to me the whole time I was making them in hopes of getting a tiny morsel, which she did of course).
Isn't she so precious, who could turn down such a face:)

and this, if only I could eat so many oreos and still be that skinny.

I went shopping for these for two days
and ended up with these by the end of my shopping day yesterday. After trying on heels for two days I could barely feel my feet. Needless to say me and hubby will be headed to the mall this weekend.

Then I got my nails done aren't they pretty.. Bahamas here we come:) Hoping hubby has this relaxing look on his face once we arrive. Sorry if I have published like a million times, but everytime I do the pics get all messed up.. ughhh
