Giving My Fur Baby Wings

This day last year was one of the worst days of my life when my sweet baby Ginger passed away.

QHAL9249

I took on a huge task for me anyway that week to add wings and a halo to my baby girls picture.

I cried through most of the process and it wasn’t perfect but I needed something to do besides sit around.

This was the finished product and I still love it and am proud of it even thought it’s not the greatest composite.

Today I added a little beveled frame and some pretty presets to it.  (Milk & Honey and Brown Derby)

I miss her terribly and cried most of this morning but I am glad I am a photo nut and took a bazillion pictures of her over her life because I have them all to look back on and it makes me smile.

Weary and Broken

I am definitely weary and broken right now.

Love this song and so need it.

I am glad I have video of my baby girl so I can still listen to her demand her snacks and meals. It's comforting.

One Of The Worst Days Of My Life

Yesterday was heartbreaking, terrifying, bittersweet…any any other word for just plain awful.

My baby girl went to puppy heaven.

Ginger went downhill in a matter of a week and we found out she had liver cancer this past Saturday. All her labs earlier this year came back normal. She still had a sludgy gallbladder but her levels were good and we still suspected a bit of cushings. Her weight had dropped a bit at a time but we all chalked it up to old age. I wish I had seen the signs earlier and really known what to look for but since our furbabies can’t talk I just had no clue. She still did all her favorite things which consisted of eating, swimming, sleeping and eating some more.

I just can’t believe this was last Christmas…

I am broken without her. I just really don’t know how to function right now. Not even sure why I am typing this post….

Maybe its theraputic??

All I can hope is that she met up with my old best friend Malibu

And all of my other fur babies I had as a child/young adult.

and maybe she will get to visit with my Great Aunt Helen who loved her so much and would always play tug of war with her. Ginger never gave up her toy. Winking smile

I will miss her snuggles

and my swimming buddy

Brad made her the most beautiful grave right out by the fire pit. She loved to sit out there with her Daddy.

We did all her favorite things before she passed. Sat out in the sun and let it hit her face. Ate a #cheeseburger and fries from ickdonalds even though she could only eat a little bit of it. Gave her a nice warm bath in my garden tub so she could feel like she was in the swimming pool. Put on our fire DVD while we snuggled on the floor so she could hear the crackling fire.

She was ready but I would have forever not been ready.

Please keep the prayers coming.

Jenny

Happy Valentines Day to all:)

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day.. I am with my sis-n-law over at Blessings Amid Chaos, it is not really a big deal for me and I would rather be surprised with flowers, candy and dinner on any random day, not when hubby feels obligated to do it. Brad did bring me home a really pretty candle that has a yummy strawberry sent. I gave my son a chocolate shaped Bass and hubby got chocolate shaped playing cards since he likes to play black jack or any card game for that matter.

Here is just a random picture of Ginger, she is so photogenic... Also yesterday at my sons school they had jump rope for heart and our family raised $85.00 to go to the American Heart Association. I volunteered and although it was hot it was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast with all of the activities. This is a picture of my son during the sack race.

Heels, Deals and anxiety

Well I found some heels yesterday for our big trip -- easy spirits, so hopefully I will be comfy. I never wear heels unless they are attached to boots. I have a love hate relationship with them. I love the way they look, but hate them after 30 minutes of having them on . My hair stylist told me to go with a wedge, since she stands on her feet all day I decided that was the way to go.

I found a great deal at the coach outlet on a cute little evening wristlet for the formal dinner we have to attend.. a $98.00 purse for 20 bucks, I was a happy camper:)

Now for the anxiety, I have a tendancy to get very anxious before trips. I am not scared of flying, just traveling in general makes me nervous. I always worry about the packing and hoping we get there safely and if Bub and Ginger will be o.k. while we are gone.. Just all the loose ends you have to do before you leave makes me insane.. I also have a mild case of hyperhidrosis and right now it is acting up since I am anxious and it is driving me crazy.

I just wish I could have this care free attitude, makes you just want to crawl up beside her and go to sleep without a care in the world... So pray for me guys, that we will make it thru this week anxiety free and safely there and back.

Thursday wrap up

Well this has been a very busy week. Lots of volunteering at the school and running around to prepare for our trip to the bahamas. On top of that hubby has had a pretty stressful week at work so I am ready for next week so he can relax.

The other day I went and got my hair did:

I think I figured out why this is my arch nemesis

because of this, (I think this is Ginger's weakness as well, she stood next to me the whole time I was making them in hopes of getting a tiny morsel, which she did of course).
Isn't she so precious, who could turn down such a face:)

and this, if only I could eat so many oreos and still be that skinny.

I went shopping for these for two days
and ended up with these by the end of my shopping day yesterday. After trying on heels for two days I could barely feel my feet. Needless to say me and hubby will be headed to the mall this weekend.

Then I got my nails done aren't they pretty.. Bahamas here we come:) Hoping hubby has this relaxing look on his face once we arrive. Sorry if I have published like a million times, but everytime I do the pics get all messed up.. ughhh

It's all about the Dog.....

Today I am posting about my dog Ginger. She is a Boston Terrier and also the one eyed bandit. My hubby says I love her more than the whole family, but that is simply not true. She is just the only one who will listen to me complain all day and not have anything to say about it. She never talks back or argues:) I mean how can you not love her..

She is a little spoiled, but she was in an accident a couple years back and lost an eye and I just can't help it. We used to have another dog and he went a little nutso one day and we ended up at the emergency vet. Ginger ended up needing her eye removed 2 weeks later and our other dog went to live else where, where he could be an only dog.

Here are some pics of her is all her glory:)
