Backtime Blues

I mentioned on Thursday that my DH messed up his back cleaning the pool so I decided to show you how this could happen;)

Here is the culprit, it was starting to get a little green because of all the heat So hubby decided to clean it and proceeded to do this:
Hello you are not supposed to stand on that:{ Anyway the tension from trying to hold the sweeper and the fact he was on the ledge threw his back out.

Now we are fighting with this that just started blooming this week. Don't get me wrong I am ready for spring just not these.
which is right next to the arch nemesis the pool...ugh..

This is what hubby is doing today...weeding...Although his back is feeling better this is not going to speed along the recovery and there is no talking him out of it. He takes great pride in his yard...I do not know what I am going to do with him.

On a lighter note, my dear friend Suzanne gave me this lilly a couple years ago and look how beautifully it is blooming. And to think I thought I was going to kill it when she gave it to me. I have a little bit of a yellow thumb I guess you could say. It's not green, but it is not black either. I do well with plants that don't need a lot of attention.

And here is Red. Isn't she blooming beautifully. The tree is a girl since she has pink blooms, makes since right?

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

  1. very nice photos,your hubby is like mine, always doing something!

  2. I'm impressed! MY peace lilies are NOT blooming!

  3. Remind DH that he should probably clean the pool by standing on the ground! No standing on the ledges of pools - that is a NO NO!!!

    Bless his heart though :}

  4. OH I am so going to show this post to my wife. That is how she cleans the pool and yes she has fallen off numerous times and hurt her back but do you think she will listen to me. Nooooooooo. Maybe this post will tell her that I know what I am talking about, :)
