Week 16 – Portrait: Movement
Portrait of hair flips, dancing, twirling etc.
My subject was Matilda and her tail flips. She was scoping out a lizard and it was going 90 to nothing.

Sometimes for Mother’s Day you would rather something that you can treasure forever instead of flowers that will be dead in a week. I know I fall into that category for sure. My hubby knows that I would rather receive something I/we can use or something more sentimental then flowers. As moms, we’re always doing our absolute best for our families so when our kids and spouses give us gifts that are meaningful, it makes us feel special & appreciated.
Imagine opening a personalized gift like a canvas print of your family from CanvasPop that’s unique to you as a opposed to an impersonal gift card to some random place because the hubby forgot and picked up a card/gift card at the last minute at the local convenience store this may or may not be a true story….well unless the gift card is to a spa then I can roll with that.
If you remember I did a giveaway with CanvasPop back in 2015 and you can see that post HERE. This is the Canvas I received from them and I absolutely love it and treasure it!!!
It is a 16”x20” .75 deep wrap/photo wrap canvas and I have it hanging right above the entrance to our hallway. It makes me smile every time I look up at it because it sparks the memory of that day at my husbands Aunt & Uncles house.
I definitely want to get more printed and have actually created a folder on my desktop that is specifically for pictures I want to put to canvas. I figure this will make it so much easier when there are specials on their site so I can just grab one at a time and start printing them throughout the year so I am not dropping a big chunk of change at one time to decorate my whole house. Right now on their site if you use the code 45FORMOM you get 45% off which seems like a pretty good deal.
So definitely pop over to CanvasPop and check out their site for your Mother’s Day gifts.
Happy Monday

Week 15 – Artistic Metal: Find your inspiration in metal
Well since my blog is called Flutterbye Chronicles what better way to find inspiration in metal then my metal butterfly on my back patio wall.
Here is the picture before I got artsy with curves.
And here it is with playing around with curves in Photoshop.

52 Week Photography Challenge
Well last weeks challenge was a bust cause Week 13 was Portrait: High Key and so far I have not had any willing participants to complete it so I will revisit that one at a later date. Lets be real I do this challenge for myself so the only person disappointed I did not complete the challenge last week is me & not too many people venture onto my blog these days….soooo moving along….
Week 14 – Landscape: Zoomed In
Instead of a wide sweeping landscape zoom in.
Happy Friday
No 52 Week Challenge this because we were on spring break last week and this week has been a bit of a catch up week so I will double up next week!
Instead here are some pictures of one of our hiking adventures over spring break that ended with Bison out in the water. It was actually pretty cool and they were so cute!!
Have A Great Easter Weekend!

Week 11 – Landscape/Natural Beauty: Reflection
Show your landscape or natural beauty in reflection.
I did not get to get out and shoot much landscape this week to be specific to this challenge so I will have to try this one again next week.
The most reflection I got was this azalea flower that fell in our fountain.
But I did get some reflections a few weeks ago when we were at the creek but these have the background in them and I don’t think that is what the challenge meant. But hey I attempted something so there is that.

Show a subject in their natural habitat.
Happy Friday!
It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. ~ Charles Dickens
This past week has been a weather roller coaster winter one day, spring the next and then full blown summer.

Week 9 – Artistic: Shadows
Interpret a shadow into a masterpiece.
I don’t know about masterpiece but it was fun to make this composite of my son with a Godzilla shadow after him.

The bag this month was a blush pink with lace at the top which was very elegant for Valentines and I really liked it.
This months theme was Unzipped: Embracing Everything You Are
When I first got a peak at my bag I was kinda like meh but now that I have used the products for a week or so I actually have enjoyed every product in the bag.
I received:
Pink Pewter lash but not least dual sided mascara in black. It has a curling side and a volume side. I will say the curling side is kind of odd and the volume sides brush is hella ginormous but it has not flaked at all and the formula is good so I can work with the wonky brushes. It retails for $20.00 which might be steep if you have to fiddle around with a weird brushes.
Sand & Sky brilliant skin pink clay mask. I have only used this once but I really liked it and it did not break me out. It doesn’t get super tight or itchy either which I can not stand in other masks I own. Full size retails for $49.00 but you can get a sample size like I got for $19.95 still pretty steep.
Luxie Beauty 249 blending & shading eye brush. If you have read any of my Ipsy posts you already know I love this brand of brushes and this one is no exception. It is so perfect for travel as well. Retails for…no clue it’s not on their site so the shading side is $12.00 and the blending side is $12.00. I hate it when they don’t have products they send us on their sites but I guess sometimes we get them first to test out maybe??
Hey Honey come undone face & eye daily makeup remover. It does what it says nothing really revolutionary but I like it. Full size retails for $32.00.
And lastly the Haleys Beauty re: fine prime foundation primer. Usually when I get these I am not impressed but I have used this 4 times and it has a beautiful finish and makes my skin look very smooth. It also doesn’t irritate my skin. Retails for $12.00.
Ipsy now has a shopper section where you can shop all the products in your bag without having to go to another site which is nice and you get discounts on some of the products as well. Here is the link to that IPSY SHOPPER
