February 2018 Ipsy Bag

make up monday new

The bag this month was a blush pink with lace at the top which was very elegant for Valentines and I really liked it.

When I first got a peak at my bag I was kinda like meh but now that I have used the products for a week or so I actually have enjoyed every product in the bag.

I received:

Pink Pewter lash but not least dual sided mascara in black. It has a curling side and a volume side. I will say the curling side is kind of odd and the volume sides brush is hella ginormous but it has not flaked at all and the formula is good so I can work with the wonky brushes. It retails for $20.00 which might be steep if you have to fiddle around with a weird brushes. Thinking smile

Sand & Sky brilliant skin pink clay mask. I have only used this once but I really liked it and it did not break me out. It doesn’t get super tight or itchy either which I can not stand in other masks I own. Full size retails for $49.00Surprised smile but you can get a sample size like I got for $19.95 still pretty steep.

Luxie Beauty 249 blending & shading eye brush. If you have read any of my Ipsy posts you already know I love this brand of brushes and this one is no exception. It is so perfect for travel as well. Retails for…no clue it’s not on their site Crying face so the shading side is $12.00 and the blending side is $12.00. I hate it when they don’t have products they send us on their sites but I guess sometimes we get them first to test out maybe??

Hey Honey come undone face & eye daily makeup remover. It does what it says nothing really revolutionary but I like it. Full size retails for $32.00.

And lastly the Haleys Beauty re: fine prime foundation primer. Usually when I get these I am not impressed but I have used this 4 times and it has a beautiful finish and makes my skin look very smooth. It also doesn’t irritate my skin. Retails for $12.00.

Ipsy now has a shopper section where you can shop all the products in your bag without having to go to another site which is nice and you get discounts on some of the products as well. Here is the link to that IPSY SHOPPER

This image is by no means perfect but it’s the first time I have ever attempted to take a picture of the stars using a long exposure so pretty proud of myself!! Winking smile

Thoughts This Thursday

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” ~ Corrie Ten Boom

I am trying to say the above quote to myself repeatedly until I breathe it!!!

I have said before I am not a big news watcher. It’s all gloom & doom 24/7 or a constant rat race to see who can spread the biggest story like wildfire whether it is factual or not. So yesterday when the news hit about the school in south FL I was oblivious because I don’t watch it and had not opened my FB for the majority of the day. A friend messaged me and my heart just sank…NOT AGAIN!!!…I just don’t understand the senselessness of it all and it just makes me sick to my stomach that someone could care so little about another persons life that they would just steal it from them like that and for what….Seriously WHAT??

The quote below struck me today when I was looking for quotes for this post because although some would say it’s sticking your head in the sand sometimes I would rather be so unaware of all the chaos going on so I wouldn’t be so scared for my family, friends and this world we live in 24/7.

“People are supposed to fear the unknown, but ignorance is bliss when knowledge is so damn frightening.”
~ Laurell K. Hamilton, The Laughing Corpse

Week 5 – Landscape Black & White

Look for a scene with great contrast and turn it black & white.

Kinda cheated this week because I took this photos a while ago but I love it so I turned it black & white.

We were out on a hike to the river and when we arrived this was our view. So pretty!!

I did however take a picture of the moon this week and it is black & white soooo that counts too right…Winking smile
