Small Ulta Haul

I only got a few things but I wanted to place a order since I had a coupon for 20% off any your order including prestige items.

Here are the samples. I gave them to my sis-n-love cause I already have tried all of these.

The Catrice beautifying lip smoother in apricot cream. This stuff smells like cupcakes! Mmmmm cupcakes!!!   It just gives a wash of color but I really like it just from using it twice. It retails for $4.99.

The Tarte how sweet it is deluxe lip and cheek set. The lip & cheek color is Sweet which is a golden pink color. I already own these products in different colors and absolutely love them!! This set retails for $14.00.

The last items I got were the Murad time release acne cleanser & the advanced acne & wrinkle reducer. These are both part of their anti-aging line.  I just love having to fight wrinkles and acne at the same time ! I still love my Peter Thomas Roth anti aging gel cleanser but I wanted to see if this was better cause I have been seeing rave reviews about it.  The only thing I can say since I have only used it once is I am not a fan of the smell of the cleanser. The cleanser retails for $32.00 & the acne and wrinkle reducer retails for $44.00.

Those came with a free sample of the Oil Control Mattifier too.

I am soo glad I had that coupon cause I saved about $20.00 and I got free shipping. So basically I just paid for the Murad products.

Lorac Royal Eyeshadow Palette Set

Just popping in just in case you received the Ulta 20% off coupon that includes prestige and you are still pondering what to use it for.

I tend to always get limited edition sets when they include the prestige items in their coupons. I guess cause I know I will always be able to get the other stuff but I may never find certain products again and usually they are at a better deal.

Anyway enough rambling.

During my shopping trip on Tuesday I picked up the Lorac Royal Eyeshadow Palette Set I have been eyeing since it was released back in October.

It was $38 and with the coupon and some reward point money I got it for $28.96.

I had some money from Christmas because I had to return some items so this was really a late Christmas present from the hubs. That’s my story and I ‘m sticking to it!

After I got it I did some swatching which I forgot to take pics of and there is a blue in this palette similar to the new semi sweet chocolate bar palette but way better pigmented and a gold that is similar too.

There is also a blue in the duchess one as well that is similar especially when applied to the eyes! (No swatch cause I suck!)

It actually has a lot of colors that are comparable to the semi sweet palette and the new lorac unzipped gold I think.

They are all great palette’s but if you want to spend a little less and get basically some of the same colors that are just as pigmented if not more then I would definitely check to see if your Ulta still has this set before your coupon expires on the 31st.

Total Intensity Prestige Eyeshadow

I first heard about this brand on Melissa Autry’s youtube channel (previously Melmphs).

She was talking about the one on the right which is Bewitched.  It is a beautiful taupe and it kind of has a touch of green/blue/silver when it hits the light.  When I looked up the brand on the web I saw a lot of blogs where everyone was raving about the shadow on the left which is Hocus Pocus. It is a green but when it hits the light it also has a bit of taupe/silver.

They are sooo pretty and with their names they are perfect for the upcoming Fall/Halloween season.

I don’t even think the swatches do them justice cause it is hard to catch how they change when in different lighting but trust me they are gorgeous.

You can get them at Ulta but the one near me was slow going getting the display out & stocked so when my fave mascara Tarte’s lights, camera, lashes went on sale last week I placed a order on the website and added these to my order.

They are $8.49 each and right now they are buy one get one 50% off on  Ulta.com and I think in stores to if you can find them.

Things I Love Thursday

Just a couple things that I have been loving this week.

My hubby teaching Bub to mow the grass on the riding mower.

This is a big deal because Daddy doesn’t just let anyone mow his grass.

Even got on the mower to show him how to do straight lines!

Bub had a blast.

This little bluebird that keeps coming around everyday.

Isn’t he so cute.

As far as products I have a couple food/drink and a couple bath/cleansers:

First the yummy stuff

I don’t know why but I have been on a chocolate milk kick and this almond breeze chocolate milk from blue diamond is sooooo stinkin’ good.

Leesha Vlogs bought this Biscoff Cookie Spread while she was pregnant and was raving about it so when I finally found it at Tarjay I bought some and OMG sooo good. I like to eat it with apples or on cinnamon raisin toast or…who am I kidding I eat it on a spoon right out of the jar. If you have not tried it you need to go get you some.

Okay now for the rub a dub dub stuff:

This daily grind coffee scrub from Perfectly Posh is soo good. I have talked about it before. It smells like a mocha coffee and leaves your skin feeling awesome. Plus no residue in the shower that will make you break your neck.

I ran out of my all time favorite St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea butter body wash so I decided to try something new and bought the Tree Hut Shea moisturizing body wash. I know not much of a stretch from what I was using but I really like it. The scent is very nice and sweet but not overpowering and my sensitive skin has had no issues with it.

Last but not least I have been using these two Peter Thomas Roth cleansers. I know what is up with you and changing cleansers, but I think this might be a keeper fingers crossed.

I received it as a sample when I purchased something at Ulta like back in March. I just threw it in my cabinet and did not give it a second thought til I ran out of cleanser and thought why not. Well I am glad I did. This stuff makes my skin feel amazing and it is starting to really help the texture of my skin as well any unruly little blemishes that want to rear their ugly head.

I use the anti aging cleansing gel in the morning and the anti aging buffing beads at night. It has kind of a peach smell so if you hate peach you might not like it but I love it and it does not dry out my skin. So check it out if you are looking for a cleanser.
