September Ipsy Bag

I spent all morning running errands so I was very excited to see my little pink package in the mail when I got home.

First thing I absolutely love this months bag.

It is Silver with Studs. Very motorcycle chic!

Which definitely goes with this months theme

Street Style!

The first item in my bag was this dual ended eye shadow brush by Crown Brush.

One side is a shadow brush and the other is a crease brush.

Retails for $10.51

Next up a Pacifica liner in the shade gun metal.

It was a very pretty shade

but I left it on for quite some time then rubbed it to see if it has staying power and got this….I was left with no liner and a bunch of sparkle! 

It got good reviews on the website and some of the reviewers said it lasts all day???

My 3rd item was Mitchell & Peach luxury hand cream. This was okay. I was not really thrilled with the scent but it did soak in pretty quick.

4th item was a moisturizing face cleanser by Nourish Organic.  I am not sure about this product. It did not have a good scent at all and I don’t like washing my face with anything that stinks soooo!

Last but not least was this really pretty tinted lip gloss from Cailyn. It was in the color love affair which is perfect for Fall.

I am not sure if I love this color on me though??

but it loved me cause I could not get it off my hand.

I have to say this is the first time I have been a little disappointed in my bag.

I only liked three of the products one of which was the bag. I am really excited to use the eye shadow brush and I like the gloss color, but that is it. The verdict is still out on the eye liner.

More Bzz-Paula's Choice Clear Line Comparison & First Impression

You already know I love the 2% BHA liquid that I received in March from Bzz Agent if not you can read about it here.

So much so I ordered their new Resist 2% BHA.

But before I could try it Bzz Agent sent me a new invitation to try Paula’s Choice Clear skin clearing line for acne prone skin for free.

I just received the products day before yesterday and as you know I had been using the Proactiv + with my Paula’s Choice 2% BHA which was working good, but I literally just ran out of the  cleanser for that line so this was perfect timing.

I am going to do a little comparison here just so you know what the difference is in both of these lines:

Proactiv + has a Skin Smoothing Exfoliator which contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, a Pore Targeting Treatment which contains 2.5 % Benzoyl Peroxide & a Complexion Perfecting Hydrator which contains .5% Salicylic Acid.  

Paula’s Choice CLEAR line has a Pore Nourishing Cleanser with no active acne fighting ingredient that I can see, a Anti Redness Exfoliating Solution which contains 2% Salicylic Acid & a Daily Skin Clearing Treatment that comes in 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide for the regular version and 5% for the extra strength.

So they are kinda comparable because they both use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid in their lines but not really in the same way if that makes sense.

Now here is my first impression which I will update in a few weeks once I have given the product a fair amount of use:

The pore normalizing cleanser was just a normal cleanser to me and I had no irritation. The anti-redness exfoliator was kind of just like the 2% BHA liquid which was nice

but…

I accidently started with the extra strength skin clearing treatment and it did not like my skin at all. My skin was immediately itchy and dry from it↓

Which I found odd since I have used the Proactiv extra strength lotion (↓) for years before trying Proactiv + and it contains 7% Benzoyl Peroxide and I never had that issue?? So not sure why that happened…

I switched to the Paula’s Choice regular strength skin clearing treatment with only 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and added my Derma-e refining vitamin A crème and did not have the dry, itchy issue yesterday so if you have sensitive skin I would not get the extra strength version from the Paula’s Choice Clear line to start!
