Living Without Fear

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

I have a hard time with this concept most days. I have always had a bit of anxiety but after my son was born it tripled. I was scared of everything and was worried/fearful something would happen to him. I mean let’s be honest in this batpoop-2024794_1280 world we live in I still am but I handle it a bit better now. I still get anxiety when we are doing something on the fly because I feel unprepared but even if it is something we planned I also get no sleep the night before worrying about everything that can go wrong but instead of just cancelling plans or saying “Ya’ll go I will stay here.” I breathe through it and go cause I don’t want to miss the moments that I know I will cherish forever.

One day in the near future my precious boy (i.e. manchild) will venture out on his own and I won’t get to see him everyday so when there is a chance to spend a day with him soaking up our surroundings and listening to his crazy funny ideas and stories I don’t care how anxious it makes me I don’t hesitate to take the journey.

So this year he wants to do more adventures in the wilderness around our state and maybe even venturing into other states and that is what we are gonna do.

So get out and get some fresh air and have some unforgettable moments!

Getting Out Of The Funk

January 2018 (Copyright Jenny @ Flutterbye Chronicles)

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”

~Norman Vincent Peale

I have been in that in between stage of everything is magical to ugh boring cold January and quite honestly it made me not want to do anything!! But I took two weeks off to just chill and I feel much better.

Instead of project 365 which I did last year I did not post everything on my blogs but I did do it I am going to do a 52 week project which seems more manageable. But of course I am already two weeks behind so this week will be my catch up week. #latetothegameperusual

I am also participating in two groups with Emma Davies A Year With My Camera. Since I got my very first camera as a little girl I am not a newbie with photography nor am I a newbie with my DSLR but I still feel like sometimes I don’t quite grasp concepts or am not fast enough figuring things out in manual mode so I am going bare bones to refresh my knowledge and doing her weekly courses which are perfect cause it’s just one lesson a week and with my awful time management skills maybe I can keep up. LOL Smile with tongue outCamera

I still will post family, shopping, makeup etc on the blog but I am going to concentrate a lot of my blog this year on photography as well. It is the photography memes I was drawn to when I first started blogging back in 2009 I am ancient. There were so many like Best Shot from Lolli over at Life Is Sweet which is now Food Fun Family and Blogography from Beth at Manic Mother and of course Melinda’s Flashback Friday which is where I got that name for my Friday posts from Bloggin’ It From The Burbs. They either don’t blog anymore, don’t do the memes anymore or Instagram ate their blog! Winking smile I must say though I miss the old blog days where it wasn’t about advertisements clogging up your page and everyone trying to make money off your blog but having fun and having a community to share things with and to be quite honest I kinda miss a good old fashioned meme don’t you…. Anywho I might also try to start doing Mama Kat’s Writers Workshops again which I used to enjoy as well.

Okay that was a novel!!SchoolAre you still here??

I might be getting a little ahead of myself and am probably setting myself up for failure but I am gonna give it the old college try…that is the right term???I don't know smile

I hope you are all is there anyone even reading this having a great start to the new year! Have you made any resolutions or just any goals you want to accomplish this year?
