Makeup Monday–January 2018 Ipsy Bag

I am just gonna be honest this bag not the contents THE BAG is soo unfortunate…

I mean Just No I don’t get it??

The theme is Game Face and asking what will you concur this year soo maybe the bag is supposed to look like a tennis shoe? (Okay I just read the card in it’s entirety they teamed up with Candice Huffins who has an activewear line..yeah that makes sense now but still not loving it probably should have looked this up ahead of time but this is real time ya’ll)

Anywho It will be good for a gym bag so there is that. Let’s carry on to the good stuff.

I received:

A Real Chemistry fresh start foaming cleanser. I said in my last Ipsy post I don’t really stray from my Murad so I will probably let my husband use it or give it to a friend or family member. It is made with grapefruit and amino acids and smells really nice though. Full Size retails for $24.00

 

Furless loose pigment in the shade Sneaky. This is very creamy and a really pretty purple. I don’t use purples too much cause something in them irritates my eyes but I do love how they look.  I will give this a go and hope it doesn’t cause any irritation and will report back if it does. Retails for  $18.00(IPSY10)

A waterproof gel eyeliner in the shade metallic green from Bellepierre cosmetics. I don’t wear green eye liner much so I did not open this yet since I may gift it to someone. Retails for $15.00 (IPSYGEL2017)

I received a really pretty brush from SLMissGlam. It is the L36 tapered highlight brush. I love the color and all the sparkles plus it is super soft. Retails for … well I guess this was exclusive to our Ipsy bag it seems but the tapered highlight brushes are sold in their brush sets and this unicorn brush set is super cute!

Lastly I received a mini The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. I already own this in a single and part of a set and I absolutely love this highlighter. If you don’t own it you should it gives the prettiest healthy glow. Full size retails for $24.00.

52 Week Photography Challenge

Since I started this challenge late per usual I am posting weeks 1-3.

Week 1 – Self Portrait

Here you were supposed to use your self timer on your camera to take a selfie. I was gonna cheat cause I have not been feeling the best these past few days and use this one that I took when we were at the river this past weekend.

But I pulled myself together yesterday and broke out my Nikon remote that I have had for mmmm I’m gonna say 4 months and it was still in the package. Yeah I am not sure why I put off figuring that out for so long cause it took like not even 5 minutes to set up. Anywho here those are in all their glory and my thought process you’re welcome!

“Oh here we go and as good as it’s gonna get!!”

Excuse my hideous hair it was still half wet and I had to cancel my hair appt this week because of the heebeegeebee’s that has taken over my body…being sick sucks!!

Week 2 – Traditional Landscape

This was pretty easy it just said to shoot a nice landscape and find a nice foreground to focus on and include the sky.

Nailed it!!! LOL just kidding.

These were just for fun and because hello cute deer jumping around in the woods!!

Week 3 – Red

We were supposed to shoot whatever inspires us with a focus on Red.

This was kinda hard. I had to walk around my house looking for something red that inspires me cause there is definitely nothing red outside right now in this cold. Then I saw it. Ornaments on my Great Aunt Helen’s Angel tree. She inspired me so much growing up. She was so confident in herself and did not take no crap from no one but she was also so young at heart and fun. She lived to be 92 and I miss her everyday!! When she passed away she left me her Angel Tree since I had given her most of the angel ornaments on it in years past for Christmas.

But the Angels on the tree are my favorite and there are a bunch!

I can feel her presence when I am in that room with her tree and yes I keep it up year round!
