Penumbral Lunar Eclipse

I stink at Moon photos. They are usually a nice white blob in the sky!

On Friday I wanted to go out and try to take pictures of the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse even though I was feeling like crap thanks to the man cold that will not leave my house .Sleeping half-moon

They are not that great but I am pretty dang proud of myself cause they actually resemble the moon and not a blob! Winking smile

Cupcakes & Cartoons Make Everything Better

I was having a minor pity party for myself yesterday so I decided I needed cupcakes and since I had some ripe bananas I made these banana cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. The recipe is on Playz With Food’s website. They are super tasty and I could probably just sit in front of the TV with a big bowl of the icing.Winking smile

cupcakes

Speaking of TV I don’t know about ya’ll but I am so over all the news and talk shows in the morning. So much negativity lately that I literally have been watching cartoons instead. Matt & Matilda prefer them anyway during our morning snuggle sesh. LOL

Tom & Jerry

What have you been up to this week?

Been trying to practice motion shots this week and I have been failing miserably. Oh well there is always next week right??

The Sky Is The Limit

Right??

I went out last night to try my hand a photographing the night sky…Let’s just say my camera app for nighttime does a whole lot better then I do with my DSLR. It was bad…

Like just a big blob of black with a orb bad!Crying face

So I added some stars in PSE. It’s still my photo and I made the stars so it counts right??? Smile with tongue out

stary night

Then today I was trying to get some light flare which I got a bit of but I wanted to jazz it up.

So with the help of The Coffee Shop blog I made a little bit artistic.

I have been following her blog for a while and I love how she goes through the steps to really teach you how to do stuff.

I guess I better enjoy these blue skies cause according to our weatherman we are in for a soggy weekend.UmbrellaLightningEye rolling smile

I did get a few pics of Matilda with my iPhone though so did not fail at picture a day goal. LOL

New set up 2

My favorite thing about this set up is the carrying case and how compact it is.

case 2

Everything literally folds down to this ↓

There are pockets for both lights and a little tripod that it comes with as well.
