Hubby's Birthday & Matt's Gotcha Day

Yesterday was Brad's birthday.

I had a horrible migraine so I did not get many pictures.

That is as far as I got and then Bub took over and made the brownies for me while I went and laid down on the couch.

I had planned to get BBQ but just couldn't go anywhere so Brad bought subs on his way home from work. He opened his presents after dinner.

Here he is messing with his new speaker for his iPad!

Hopefully today we can go to dinner since my brother, sis-n-law and nephew will be in town.

It was also Matt's gotcha day since this was the day he showed up at our house 4 years ago.

He got lots of yummy treats and a toy which he quickly deaded (tore all the stuffing out of)!!

Pool Day/Target Beauty Boxes

Ever been just minding your own business floating in the pool when

A storm rolls in and the wind starts going crazy

So you run grab all the towels, put up the lounge chair and run inside and change.

Only to come back outside to grab something and poof storm disappeared.

Yeah me neither….But if that did happen I would grab me a big ole bowl of strawberries and slap some whip cream and chocolate syrup on top to make me feel better about the whole situation!!

And if that did happen and my Target Beauty boxes arrived after the above treat was scarfed down all would be forgive!!!

I don’t believe you can get these anymore on their site cause they sell out so fast!  Click HERE to see past boxes!  They release these in the spring and summer and I believe one near Christmas as well but don’t quote me on that one.

It is a great bargain to try different products so if you see someone post about them being available run over to the site and get you some!!!

I think there are only two full size products in this one which is the razor and the tongue cleaner. This box is said to be a $15 value.

Volunteering/Play

I almost forgot to show ya’ll what I was doing for the better part of May!

I have volunteered every year since I think 3rd grade in Mrs. Nabors speech and learning impaired class at my son’s old elementary school.

My friend Staci asked me if I would help way back then and I have done it ever since even though my son is going into HS next year! ←That has not sunk in yet….sigh

Anyway I digress…

Here is all the lovely ladies I work with! They are all fabulous and we literally scramble til the very last second to pull this all together.

I showed ya’ll at little snippet a couple weeks ago cause it is all very hush hush til our very last play when the parents come and have a luncheon and see the play.

But here is the finished Teepee I was working on! NAILED IT !!!

I ended up making two and I think it turned out pretty cool.

The kids made dream catchers that we hung on the papered walls! This was the beginning of the hanging and setting up. (Those papered walls can be a challenge sometimes!! Definitely a two person project!!)

Mrs. Lori and Mrs. Carol built this cool Paublo village that they attached to the set so we could do scene changes by flipping the panels.
